Most of the southern lawns are made up of these grasses because of the ability to tolerate traffic and pollution that few other grasses can; St. Augustine, this grass is known for its shade and its durability. The grass is not high maintenance and needs little time to be kept in line and made more beautiful.

The steps a gardener needs to follow are, first the gardener needs to prepare the soil by tilling it, and then get the make up of the soil needs to change. Then, the soil needs to be rid of any stones or any other filth that is present. Once the soil is free from any of these debris that can affect the soil, the seeds need to be put in, once the seeds are put in the seeds need to be spread properly. Then covering the seeds with ample amount of soil and watering the seeds. Experts advise not to have one variety of seeds planted but rather the seeds should be mixed so they can survive climate shifts.
